Thank you very much. She will be 6 in June and has had this problem of not wanting to eat every so often for most of her life, it is just recently that she had the anal gland issue and infection and then this is the longest she has gone from eating and her usual self one day to not eating the next.
She had the x-ray on Monday and came home and ate and then she was perfectly fine on Tuesday - ate all her food and was excited to eat and had normal bowel movements and even played with her toys (and she usually hates toys!) and then we woke up this morning and she was back to not eating. It took until about 5pm to get her to eat anything. I didn't give her too I much though, I didn't want to irritate her belly.
I am really hoping because she keeps going back and forth that it is pointing more to belly trouble and not cancer. We had tried changing food, had her on an antibiotic and then when she had the x-ray the vet gave her some Hills I/D and I am really hoping it has just been too much on her little tummy in such a short time. I am just nervous because her x-ray showed her intestine was thicker than usual, but at the time the vet wasn't too concerned. I just keep worrying that they will find lymphoma or a mass that didn't show up - they weren't concerned about the small intestine being lower than usual, but anything that isn't "normal" has terrified me. Other than when my mom was dealing with cancer and passed away, I have never been so scared in my entire life.
Thank you again for the prayers and I hope that my next update is good news. |
