This was a problem for us with Bella...she had many issues from neglect before we got her...I feel like she would have been so much healthier if we had her from the start. Now I fear this with Guinness as he was in awful shape when we got him...he had 20 teeth removed a couple of weeks ago and the vet said poor nutrition and lack of care during his first 5+ years were contributions. Other than the dental he seems to be in good health so we are hopeful that we can make sure he is much better off!
