I agree with Ann. Since the island doesn't have a sink, it look more like an informal eating area. The pendants highlight the island. We are going to put one of those foot rest bar thingys on our island like they have at bars. Maybe you can put one in that matches the pendants?
I'd like to see what you end up with above your sink. (Tesla light! Not Edison light! LOL)
