I can't understand using heavily scented products on or near dogs, their sense of smell is much better than ours. I've always had to rewash my dogs after the groomer because they stank like powdery floral perfume, I couldn't stand the smell and I doubt they could either.
I do all of Lola's grooming now and it was hard to find good products I could stand.
