Default Selling pets!!!

I recently had to find a new home for a bird that I paid $550 for. The bird was young, adorable, tame, friendly, and everything you could ask for.

Along with the bird, I included an almost new cage ($100) - all its toys and play gym ($200) and books and food.

I ask $350 for my loveable pet and gave the new owner over $800 dollars worth of things.

I was much more concerned about my bird's finding a wonderful new home than I was about the amount of money I would get for it. I turned down the first 6 people who were interested because I didn't think they could give my bird the kind of home I wanted it to go to. Then the perfect young guy showed up -- and I sold him my bird and everything for $300 (that's all he had).

IF - he couldn't have afforded anything - I would really have given him my bird for free...because I loved it so much and it was so important to me that it go to the right home.

I think this sometimes happens with other pets -- and see no reason to always distrust what seems like a relatively inexpensive price for a Yorkie, or other pet. Good people aren't always interested in $$$$....it is more important to them that their loved little pet find the perfect new home. Sometimes these little guys are two or three years old, etc., but that doesn't matter. (The bird I sold was only 10 months old - and has a life span of 35 years. So - his new owner can certainly look forward to many wonderful years with him.)

So - occasionally - if you see a little Yorkie advertised for not much money - be sure to at least check it out. You may be able to get a wonderful little dog and not have to pay a lot for it. I just may be someone who is looking for the right home for the little pet that they love.

Good luck!!!!!
