Now if it was the kind of thing that I could just put on him if I knew we were going to be in a heavily wooded area for a hike, for example, I would do it. But I read it doesn't work that way. The Seresto collars are made by Advantix, btw. And Nexgard is made by Frontline.

The price does suck on Nexgard... pretty bad. I was going to see if my vet would sell me ONE pill but they probably don't do that, I don't know, just to try it and see if it even works for us. We are going to FL next week where it's obviously warmer and I'd like to avoid fleas/ticks. So I was debating swinging by the vets on Monday and seeing what it costs or if I should just order Advantix from Chewy.com. Frontline doesn't do jack squat for us most of the time.
I'm using the collars this way (on and off) but we don't go into the woods and have specific advice from our vet for our situation. Nexguard and all the rest are 24/7 too floating in the bloodstream or in the sebaceous glands. So either way, it's all poison. Btw, I was talking about the Preventic collar made by virbac not the collar you mentioned. And yeah, they're not the most stylish but I'm ok with that. Have a great trip to FL.
