They say Spring started yesterday, though in NJ you wouldn't know it with our 5" snowfall!! But, I have faith that yes, it will warm up this year. Knowing that, I've had tousle with my other dogs scratching on the screen to get out if I leave the doors open with screens. Needless to say, the other dogs have always ripped holes in them, so I wind up using my ac on days that I could easily don't need it. When my husband was alive he created this guard, with plexiglass that he screwed into the bottom of the screen, on both sides so they couldn't ruin it. I do not have a single clue how to make one of them, and I need 2. Do any DYI people out there have any good ideas? I'd love to hear them.
