I recently discussed this with one of my favorite vets. I'm going with Sentinel + the Virbac Preventic Collar. The tick collar kills 95% of ticks and my vet who is teddy's treating neurologist told me this is the safest and most effective for my dogs. So I'm going to try it. Just paid $28 at chewy for two collars. Frontline is about $150/yr so this is very cost effective. Everyone is saying FL doesn't work around here anymore and even though I've been ok with it, I don't want to risk it. the product is labeled for 90 days of coverage but my vet said he suggests changing it every 30 days if the dogs are outside a lot or go in woods. I wouldn't have considered a collar before these recent convos with my vet but I'm sold.
