LOL - cute, cute story. I've seen embarrassed dogs before and no matter what anyone says - dogs know and feel embarrassment!!! They act just the same as humans do, downward head, tight, controlled movements of the face, mouth, darting looks at you with their eyes, then averting them, and slightly turning the face aside. If a dog could, I think he'd put his fingers to his face or hands over his face as some embarrassed people do! I've never seen it but I've heard some dogs can sort of blush, though not sure that is associated with their embarrassment. With his mommie snarking out like that in public to a stranger, no wonder poor pittie was embarrassed.
