Macbook battery question I think my Macbook battery is swollen causing problems with the tracking pad (read this in the Apple forums). Everything works fine if I put the laptop on a soft surface or on my lap, or if I tilt the machine at a 45 degree angle.
Or debris got into the crevices of the tracking pad.
My question: if the battery is swollen and needs to be replaced, is there any risk of further damage to the computer? It might be awhile before I can get to the nearest Apple store.
