I was looking for a Golden Retriever last year, and posted an ad on Craig's List looking for breeders. A lady with a puppy who couldn't keep it emailed me and wanted me to send money for the delivery and all that stuff. I figured it was a scam and just kept talking to her to see how far she would go, but it sounds like the same thing, she said she would pay half the fee's and such. Luckily I never sent her any money.
I think since you
did send her money, and $400 is a lot of money to be out, I would try to do something about it. Contact the police or something. That's just my 2 cents.
