Ann, I don't know if this will happen to you and I'm hoping NOT, but please be prepared....
When our car was found it was towed away and we had to pay a tow fee of $300 which goes up daily the longer our car was there. We had no choice but to pay what we felt was ransom and feeling like we were victimized twice! There were damages to the car so we had to get it towed from there to our mechanic.
There is a proposal to change the law of having to pay a tow fee if a car was stolen.
