 Bijou needs prayers...
I need prayers tonight for my yorkie boy Bijou. He was diagnosed with an elongated palate when he was anesthetized for a dental a couple months ago. He has lived with this condition, undiagnosed for most of his life...but the symptoms (choking and gagging due to the palate obstructing his airway) have increased over the past week and is really bad tonight. He used to have short-lived symptoms only when he was excited. Now he is experiencing symptoms even at rest. I know there is a surgical procedure to fix this condition, but he is 10 and the procedure is quite costly (for me anyway). I gave him some benedryl in hopes of reducing the secretions ( he has a slight runny nose). He is my first yorkie and has been my faithful boy thru the many struggles and illnesses I've endured. He is my heart and soul...I love him so much. :'( <3 |
