I definitely understand and would be the same way. With my Rainbow Bridge babies, I only once after they stayed overnight together for the first time after a spay left one of them overnight, and it was so difficult for me. With their baby sister, she came home after her spay. With Katie now I find it difficult to even leave her home alone, so I'm worse than ever. Despite that, your animal hospital has 24 hour care, and they will probably be able to handle his pain management better in the hospital. I hope that helps you to leave him there overnight. I'm sorry this is so difficult for you. When you see him feeling better once this ordeal is over, a heavy weight will be lifted from you. Hang in there, and please remember that we care and are here to support you.
