Default Does a yorkie's hair get thicker?

I am new to the Yorkie World. I have two new yorkies. My little boy, Duncan, is 4 months old (I got him at 10 weeks) and the younger one, a little girl named Little Miss Elliot, is 2 months old (I have had her for 6 days).

I have a question about hair thickness. Duncan's hair on top is very thin, almost see through in fact. There is barely enough to get it in a topknot. Does their hair get thicker as they get older, like humans hair? It doesn't seem to be growing very quickly either. Of course, he is a teapot <g> so his hair has to cover a large body. At 16 weeks, he is 8 lbs., 11 oz. and is as big as my dachshund. I never knew they got this big but he is adorable and I love him so much. I am wondering how big he is going to be when he is an adult. When do they stop growing anyway?

Thanks for the answers to my questions. I am really enjoying this forum and the love I have and get from my yorkies I feel like a brand new mother all over again!
