I thought this is an excellent satirical article. I am very opposed to breed specific legislation. Each individual dog should be judged on its own merit.

I lived in an apartment with a Yorkie, and we had no issues. After her, while in my home now, I had three Yorkies, all who barked, but not excessively. I think we would have been fine in an apartment. Katie, who came to me at the age of three impeccably trained, almost never barks inside. Her breeder told me she only barked at night, just as an alert, possibly one bark. She now barks at some dogs and cats when we are outside, but still not excessively. I definitely understand why having to listen to a dog barking all the time would be upsetting.

People giving up an animal who they made a commitment to and surreending him/her to a kill shelter is very sick, whether it's a Yorkie or any other breed.
