Toby is 8 1/2 months. And she said he acted just the same the time before when I wasn't there. He was probably in pain from the sap between his toes, and once we managed to get most of it off, he was so worked up he wouldn't give for even a minute to realize we weren't hurting him. He was stuck in full throttle psycho mode. Spent the rest of the day all jumpy if anyone touched him. I'm gonna have to do an alcohol soak on his feet tomorrow somehow to get the tiny bit of sap we couldn't get to yesterday. We'll see if he's as hateful then. Maybe I'll just have to start sedating him before grooming. Only problem there is that when his leg was healing from a tear we tried Valium , seraqil, trazadone, and benedryl and I could swear they all just amped him up. Only thing that had any effect on him was the pain pills that izzy was given after she was spayed. And he still got amped up for a spell before he settled down. He's like a prime example for an ADD prescription commercial. |
