thanks to all who replied. I think I have solved the problem by taking the suggestion of buying a car seat. This puts her at a height at which she is able to see out and watch everything. She loves it, stands with her hind legs on the floor of the seat and her front bars on the sheepskin bar and watches all the time with a happy smile on her face. I will only go the pill route if I have to, but it is still an option, but so far, so good.
