I would use a nail gun (air compressor kind) if you have it. I've found that trim isn't always flat, so the nails hold it down really firm in case you need to bend the trim a bit to get it straight against the board.

I would caution though, since the half round isn't a flat surface on the outside part, you'd have to make sure to shoot the nail in perfectly square otherwise it could come out the top or bottom. (Not sure how thick your table top is)
