Congratulations. Your little girl is so precious. If you have any questions, you will get a lot of support from this community. I've had Yorkies in my life for close to forty years, first with my mom, and five since I've been married. Before Katie, I had three little girls who all had the same sire. I'm still learning everyday, even after all of these years with these special pups. I wish you health, love, laughter, and happiness with your little girl.

Not knowing if any animals come into your yard, I would probably train her using washable pee pads first, since she doesn't have all of her shots. You can also use them as a backup, even if you train her to go outside. I got Katie from her breeder when she was three. She was impeccably trained. My husband is home with her all day, but he is unable to take her out. I was worried about her having to hold it if she needed to go to the bathroom, and after being gone for ten hours a couple of days after she joined our family, I put a reusable pad down. I worried far less worried about being gone so long. Katie still prefers to go outside. Either way, with lots of consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement, your beautiful little get trained.
