I mainly use disposable pads. I only buy them when they are on sale and I stockpile them. If the store doesn't have them instock during the sale period, I get a raincheck. I never pay full price for them.

I also have some washable potty pads. They are pricey initially, but last for years, and would save money in the long run. I put a large washable pad under the area I put disposable pads, to protect my wood floor. The ones I have are four years old and still look new, with regular washing.
