My landlord did a minor remodel in my kitchen and when I questioned the tile guy (he was putting in ceramic tile) about laminate wood flooring, he said uh-uh! He said laminate is unforgiving with any kind of liquid, spills, etc. Said that was NOT the way to go--especially if you had animals and/or kids--simply walking on it with snowy boots ruins laminate. I certainly know nothing in the way of flooring, but as conversation was less than a month ago, I still retained a few facts! He works with all different types of flooring and strongly recommends ceramic tile because it is longest lasting, most durable and easiest to clean and keep clean. Good luck with your remodel!!!
