I never get bordetella for my 3 dogs, as it's not a core vaccine. Besides, it's like vaccinating for the common cold - it only vaccinates against SEVEN strains of the "common cold" in dogs...pretty useless in my opinion.

I changed vets once after he insisted on giving my pup that nasal vaccine....told me they changed to it because "it is much more effective than the injection"....then, my puppy started sneezing and coughing immediately, and when my baby came down sick within 36 hours from the nasal drops, and ended up with bronchitis/ and pneumonia, he then said, well yes, occasionally it happens, but he sure did not give me a break on all the antiobiotics and breathing treatments, etc that I had to give my puppy, for the next 3-4 months.....researching on my own about this useless vaccination, I decided never again would I do that to any of my babies.....so very sick, and for no benefit.
