Oh that is scary!!! I hate the thought of humans one day having this done too - okay, too many science fiction and scary government stories/movies!!! hee,hee
i got bunjee microchipped at the local shelter so the info is registered at the shelter. they also gave me a form to send to the national registry so that it can be entered into the national database and available to other agencies throughout the country. the website to the national registry is here: http://www.homeagainid.com/

the shelter's scanner is a wand-like scanner. kinda like when you're at the airport and get "wanded". so i would think it wouldn't matter if it moved a little bit under the skin. it's a passive chip so it doesn't do anything but sit under the skin unless it's being scanned.

you know, for a moment there, if i completely disregard the concept of civil liberties, i think microchipping kids with a gps chip would be great! never lose your kids again and always know where they are!!!
