I know your question is directed towards Shana but I do have a bernina and it is wonderful. Since your daughter will be doing this professionally, therfore for a very long time, I suggest invest in a good one - anything german made or japanese made . . . there are sewing machine stores that even sell used machines and they are worth taking a look at, as long as it is a very good brand.
