| My little vintage beach babe!!! I love love love this fabric when I saw it today so I made chloe this new harness dress. I think she looks like a vintage beach babe with it on and it is by far my favorite dress that I made her! It may be winter is some place but I think Chloe looks HOT today!!! (p.s. its like in the 70's here today so I dont think its really winter anymore )

| She looks like she's so used to on the spotlight! She is one hotty pooch! You are one talented lady . . . all your clothes are terrific. I am supposedly very good at sewing too but have yet to get started again. I had someone sew me my projects when I was in school otherwise I would have failed . . . but it was my mother in law who introduced me to sewing and even bought me my first serger . . . the rest is history. These days the only time I take out my sewing machine is when my daughter needs some mending . . . and that is a rare thing! I have everything except the fabric to make clothes for Tiger but I don't think too much about dressing him up . . could it be because he is a BOY! Well, when I get my darling female puppy, that might change my mind about dressing up dogs! |

You want to know something funny? I will sew dog clothes because it excites me, but I WILL NOT HEM ANYTHING or sew anything else!!! I'm a short person and I bought like 3 pairs of jeans that I purchased at a decent price even though they were too long and I told myself I'd hem them and they would be perfect. Well, I never have and its been like 2 years. Its pathetic!!! I also have a wall hanging quilt that I started 4 years ago and will never finish . And my husband has been bugging me to make curtains but I just dont want to. So basically the only thing I will sew is doggie stuff and occasional decorative pillows

At my last house, when I first bought it, I made all the curtains, pillow cases, comforter covers, etc. . . you name it I did it. Now that I got a new house again I should be sewing again but somehow has not had the urge yet any . . . My daughter used to ice skate when she was little . . .and competed a lot. I used to sew all her practice outfits and was so gung ho about it that she has a new one every time she goes to practice (about 4x a week) . . . I could cut, sew, surge away in one night and finish an entire outfit. . . for competition, mothers always approach me to do their daughters competition outfits and I would accomodate only a couple as I work full time and I want to make sure my daughter really outshines so I try not to accomodate too many . . . Like you, I have to really be in the mood before I will sew anything . . . but when I do, I go overboard.

I know your question is directed towards Shana but I do have a bernina and it is wonderful. Since your daughter will be doing this professionally, therfore for a very long time, I suggest invest in a good one - anything german made or japanese made . . . there are sewing machine stores that even sell used machines and they are worth taking a look at, as long as it is a very good brand.

I actually am using 2 older models that work really great. They were gifts from my mom (she has a quilting business and sews even more than I do). One is a singer and the other is a kenmore brand. I will be purchasing a embroidery machine soon and I am looking at either a brother or a viking. Both companies make really good machines. My mom has a new Bernina sewing machine that is really nice
