You again need to get your facts straight mixed breed dogs do not live longer. Most mixed breed dogs that are being breed have no health testing or people knowing the genetics and history of the dog so many die young, suffer horrible genetic issues, die in a shelter whether it's from being put down or just because no one wants them. Large breed dogs do not live as long as small breed dogs and a lot has to do with the breeder. Their are many poor bad breeders then good so your friend could have gotten there dog from a bad breeder. Breeding should only be done to better the breeder period if you want to be doing the right thing and be a good breeder.
