mixed breed dogs usually live longer than pure breeds, my friend had to put down his 8 year old pure breed boxer because he was suffering from a breed related problem, most pure bred boxers dont live past 10 they start having hip problems at 8, i have a 10 year old boxer mix who acts like he is 4 years old he has no problems running around in my neighbors field all day. i would never breed a dog unless i had good homes for the puppies, i do care about my dogs and want to share the joy that a small puppy can bring
