You made me think of when I taught Teddy how to shake hands -- perfect example of smart and stubborn boy. He knew exactly what I wanted, always watched Max do it, but it was clear that he thought it was pointless and didn't want to do it. I swear he rolled his eyes at me before he relented MONTHS later and gave me his paw to shake.  |
Oh indeed they do things like that. Cookie is a hoot....when she does not want to do what I ask her to do, she turns her head and looks up as if to say "If I can't see you, I can't hear you". There is NO question in my mind she is doing that....it is when she doesn't want to do something...then other times she will comply but it is never consistent so I know she is thinking it out.
