( before 12 weeks) normally have bitting issues because bite inhibition is something the mom teaches them. Most puppies wake up several times a night it's like having a new baby. Make sure the crate is where he can see you. Also only take him out to go potty and put him back. If you take him out every time he cries and play or kiss and hug him it will make him think if he cries he will get to come out. Since he is so young you also need to watch out for hypoglycemia.
