Was your little one licenced? have a id tag? these are absolute must's, our little one always...always had both tags on and they were current ,that way if she were to get out and was turned in to a shelter there was no doubt about ownership.
Time and again I've seen dogs loose with not even a collar on,highly upsetting! Can you imagine people paying $1000 to $1500 for a pet and not spending the few dollars for collars and tags! It happen's all the time.
