Default Vet instructions

Am I the only one that sometimes finds it hard to follow vet instructions?

ZoE vomited four times this morning. She was retching bad. So I called the vet to give him a heads up, just incase things went south fast. He said to monitor her, withhold food for 24 hours, feed her a small meal in the morning and if she doesn't keep it down, to bring her in.

Well, tonight ZoE is looking for food. She's drinking water and peeing and then coming to me and kicking her legs back on the rug to let me know she went pee. She is used to getting a treat for any good potty, so she is whining and barking at me so I look at her, and then she 's kicking her legs back again to keep telling me she pottied.

I know she won't starve going without food for a day, but gosh its hard to do, especially when she knows I take care of her and is looking at me like "why aren't you feeding me?" with those big brown eyes.
