I need a new vacuum cleaner. I have a heavy self-propelled windtunnel ultra that is great to use in the basement, as all the finished part is carpeted and it cleans well. But it is really heavy and I am getting sick of hauling it up & down the stairs, so my Mum wants to buy me a new one for Christmas to use on my mainfloor.
My house is only ~1000sq ft. It's all hardwood, with large area rugs in the living room and dining area and throw rugs in the kitchen. I swifter (& damp mop) the hardwood, so its basically for the large rugs, and using tools for drapery/upholstery and corners/crevices/vents. It's just me and ZoE at home and we don't creat that much mess, just crumbs and dust mostly.
I just want something small & lightweight that cleans well. I had a roomba before and didnt care for it as it cleaned poorly.
Any suggestions?
