He never used to tremble in the car. Except after the vet. When he went for his puppy shots then a couple weeks later his rabies and it was like he knew he was going to the vet. Was trembling from home till home, both times. Even though he's been in there close to at least once a day every day since we got him. The trips about town in between vet visits were no problem, but for certainty since rabies vac, he hates riding in the car. He never cared for the carrier crate, so I don't use it. I think maybe when I picked him up and the first vet visit, but never since. He's a lap puppy. He refuses any treats in the car. Even the vet had tried to give him a treat "so he won't feel his shot" but when he is that 'I'm scared mom save me' mode, he wants nothing.
As for the poop, it's cat or deer/bear poo. Not his own. |
Well he really needs to be buckled in, in the car. Even when we think we drive good accidents happen and you don't want him getting hurt or if you were to be knocked out and he got out and was loose in the street that would be terrible. We use a dog car seat. Puppy's put everything in there mouth so he will probably out grow it but you must watch for worms that he can get if he eats an infected animals poo.
