35 + years of having these little critters I haven't changed in the sense, when I took / take my pups/ pup with me to someones house, I feel it's never a visit. If my dog / dogs were not with in my vision, I would go look for them / him. My girls all now past were always into some sort of mischief lol and needed to be watched carefully. My little adopted boy is not a mischief maker but I still watch him like a hawk, make sure he doesn't find something on the floor and eat it.You know how some ppl who don't own dogs, drop a pill, can't find it, but they know eventually it will turn up, well I don't want it to turn up in my dogs mouth, so I watch him. I don't think this ever ends as long as we have these little babies. As far as poop eating, one of my past girls ate cat poop that she found in the woods behind my neighbors house, this was years back, she would at times eat her poop!!!!! but never another dogs or her sister's when she was alive, so I am of no help on how not to have your pup eat poop at the dog park. Since your last visit to the vet, take your pup as often as you can in the car. I found when I moved to the country my dogs didn't go in the car as often as they did when I lived in the city. The only time they went in the car was to the vet and the groomers, so they associated the car with the horror of vet or groomer. I started taking them to the bank, or if I had to run into the pharmacy, I would even just drive around my community, just to show them not every car trip ended at the vet or the groomer, I do the same for my lil boy. I have to drive about 1/2 mile to collect my mail, and I'll take him with me. Your baby may shake because he thinks he's going to the vet, just a thought. Good luck.
