How frustrating for you, ugh. It stinks to have them be so hard that you can't break them up w/ your hands...that's no fun. There are a lot more brands out there now that sell freeze dried, so maybe you want to branch out...? Only Natural Pet Store carries a lot of freeze dried and maybe they have free shipping over a certain amount...something to maybe check out.
I don't know what to say about it possibly not being digested, that's odd.
