I have been feeding my girls a meal with Stella and Chewy's freeze dried in the morning for about a year. In the past 6 months I have had about 4 bags of food where the nuggets were so hard and I had to use a rolling pin to break them up. I questioned S & C and was told since they don't make large batches of food at one time they can't make each batch to the same consistency and some of the batches are hard and there is nothing wrong with the food. The packages have an expiration date for next year so it isn't that it is expired food.


This morning I noticed Macy and Molly's poo looked like it had sand mixed in with it. I was trying to think what she ate yesterday that would look like sand and then it hit me.....the S & C pheasant that they have been eating is so hard it looks like sand when mixed with water. It looks like the food isn't even being digested and just passing through their systems.


I really love S & C because it seems they have more flavors than other brands to choose from. Looks like I will be trying Primal now.


Does anyone else have problems with S & C's or have a theory why the food isn't being digested?
