My girl (now past) got Cushing's Disease at age 10 y/o. When she was diagnosed as having cushing's there were no spots, however, at age 14 y/o she started to get round sores on her back, 7 of them, and was loosing hair where the sores were. She had patches of bald spots, poor sweet baby looked like a mess. My vet said it was related to cushings. She was given meds, she / I were very lucky, the sores cleared up with-in 4 months and her hair grew back. These sores were not on her stomach, only on her back and both sides. As maximo stated it could be a staph infection, my past pups had staph infections and it was on their stomach. When your vet goes out of town do they not have an alternate vet that can be used? In any case, you need to have a vet check this out.
