There is no such thing as a "short hair" yorkie breed. It's all in the grooming, you want short hair have groomer give a puppy cut. I keep my boy in a puppy cut all year. 1- I like the look....2-I love mushing up my boy and not fearing matting up long hair....3-lastly less de-matting when brushing.... I LOVE the look of a full coat, and top knot, it's a beautiful look, if someone else maintained it lol. So I go with the puppy cut, easier to bathe, do not have to fear causing matting while bathing and it's a 1,2, 3 bath and blow dry. So when you are looking for that special little baby, don't let the long hair discourage you, all puppies have long hair, you can give a puppy cut after puppy has all had all their shots.
