Default Puppy not attached to me?

Hi everyone,

OK, this is a bit of a selfish question.

But we've had our guy for 3 weeks and he's just not very attached to me. I know that's not much time...but I am with him almost 24/7, training him, feeding him, playing with him, cuddling with him...

And I get the feeling he could take me or leave me, haha. My boyfriend's friend came to visit...he doesn't like dogs, pretty much ignored him...and my puppy was all over him, followed him EVERYWHERE, and if he left the room my pup would cry until he came back- even when I was still in the room with him!!

I babysat a friend's yorkie in the past, and really bonded with him- he was glued to my side, didn't even acknowledge anyone else's existence. I guess I just kind of thought this is what it'd be like with my own yorkie.

I know this is a selfish thing, but I'm just kind of sad that he doesn't seem that into me! Haha. Does this change as he gets older...? Or should I change something about the way I am with him?

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question to ask.

Thanks
