After trying everything - bottled water, nursery water, yogurt, switching foods, no wheat, etc. - we started using Angel Eyes (sweet potato) with our little guy. He still has wetness but no more gunk. Both the groomer and vet have recommended it so I'm not too worried about it.
However, he eats very little of it at once - he gets about a cup of food sprinkled with 1/4tsp. Angel Eyes. Sometimes that takes him about a week to eat because he's spoiled and gets too many treats
