Please have a vet do it (at least for the first time). I have the post about docking an 8 week old puppy - the breeder didn't do and I have decided to leave it alone. I would recommend you do it, but do it tomorrow. I understand 3 - 5 days is the time frame, depending on your vet. I also hear the cost is only like $5 a tail. My male Yorkie had his tail docked by the breeder (also a first time for him) and his tail is too long. I guess he didn't take into consideration the growth. Doesn't look that bad, but I know it is not correct. Good luck. |
