Did the vet recommend dew claw removal? I know my Yorkie had her dew claws removed and she has trouble holding bones to gnaw on them. I wish she could hold her milk bone type treats like my other dog can. I know people here have differing opinions about it. Some get them removed so they won't get caught up in things. I have never had that happen but some people have. Just thought you might want to do a search and maybe read through some of those threads. I might be in the minority on this subject.

There are also threads you might want to look at about tail docking. Some breeders are not docking tails.
