I agree with Taylor as far as the dew claws. Uni doesn't have hers, Toto has his. They are a PITA to clip. And I've seen many dogs who aren't routinely groomed and the dew claws grow so long they look like macaroni, or worse, curl back into the skin. If the pups are already having the tails docked, they may as well have the dew claws done at the same time. After a few days old, it can no longer be done.

Also if they pups don't have the dew claws securely attached they can rip out on carpet. Much more painful than the clip when they are newborns.

Tail docking is still widely expected on yorkies here in the US. I know if the dog is not being shown, it's pretty much pointless. But yorkie full tails are pretty thin and when the dog doesn't hold the tail all the way up, it's very thin and prone to break if stepped on. I believe that is the reason why they docked it in the first place, back in the day, to prevent injury when the dogs were used as ratters.
