I have to do a lot of going around behind him and cleaning up behind his back. He gets mad at me for a few hours, but gets over it. He gets overwhelmed by the stuff he had to clean out. I think he was actually surprised by how much STUFF he had around and after a yard sale, craigs list, about 20 trips to goodwill, the dump, with our trailer, he is starting to throw more away now.
I wish I had some tips & tricks for you, but just muddle through and you'll be so happy you did. Be realistic too, on what you are truly going to repurpose or not. I found that our good intentions of repurposing things from years ago didn't happen and I finally just got rid of those things.

Have fun and good luck to you!
Hows the house sale going?

I bought my lil house first, and then put my big house up for sale about three months later. At the time, it was nice having somewhere to move extras out of the big house to, to get it show ready. But later i regretted moving stuff to the lil house to store it. I should have got rid of a lot, rather than move it to then go through it all. Luckily my lil house is less than three miles from my old house so i didn't have far to go, and didn't have to pay to move my junk, as i moved it all myself.

It seems i only see repurposing ideas on Pinterest after I've thrown things out. I threw out a round metal tub, that used to be by my back patio door that went out to the inground pool. I kept rolled towels in it, so the kids could just grab a towel as they went outside to the pool. Couldnt think of a use for it at the lil house, so threw it out. Then i saw a tub just like it hung on a garage wall, with the sprinkler and connectors inside the tub, and the hose wrapped around the tub for winter storage. What a great idea! Only now, no metal tub.
