Having said that, I have heard there is such a thing as pet health insurance. Do any of you have any recommendations of a good company to go through and what sorts of things I should make sure are included. Now for the hard part as it makes me uncomfortable to even think about but is there such a thing as insurance against the possible loss of your pet? I feel terrible even contemplating such a thing but need to be realistic.
Two types of insurance you are referring to, one is health insurance the other is life insurance. I'm totally against "life insurance" for pets. There are some companies who insure against death, even worse, it's doesn't include death by illness. I really think this type of insurance should be outlawed, I think too many people will allow their dog to have an "accident." We know some people have killed their children for the insurance money, people would do the same thing with pets and there aren't enough laws to really punish them for this.
