Yes, certainly to the baby gate - but what I also did was put a strip of masking tape about 9" back behind the gate.

I taught Harry to sit 'behind the line' - treats and a party every time he sat and stayed 'behind the line' - it took quite a bit of time, but it was added security (for me!).

Eventually, we took the tape away - but now we still say "go behind the line" and he does!!!! Poor, confused little boy!

That's a GREAT idea!
