I havent read through the other posts but this is usually the advice I give when trying to train....
Start from scratch, take out first thing every morning, after every meal, every nap and before bed as well as other random times throughout the day. Tether to you and do not give free run of the house, this is way to much space and they are bound to have an accident if you are not watching them. If they have an accident do not scold outside of saying "NO" sternly but only if caught in the act. Never scream at, hit or punish the dog. This will cause them to fear you and will usually worsen the habit making them want to hide and potty. Take the accident outside whether it be feces or urine put it where you would prefer him/her to go outside. Clean up the areas where he/she has had an accident thoroughly taking care to get all of the scent up. When your dog does potty outside like expected praise him/her like crazy, be silly and excited. They so want to please us. With some patience, praise and persistence he/she should be doing great in no time :-)
