Hickox's introduction to the public scene, that article she wrote while being quarantined in NJ -- she complained about a "grueling" 2 days of travel back from Africa. She lost me in the first few sentences of her article.
I have never heard of a hero who complains as much as she does about everything. If I had just come from a very poor country after helping care for sick and dying patients, I am pretty sure that I would not complain about the rigors of travel.
Her diplomatic and public relations skills are terrible. Sandy, like you, I worry that she is endangering herself with unlikeability and courting the media circus.
I also wonder if she has read the CDC's own website about federal and state government legal authorities and police power for quarantine and isolation. I linked the pages above.
