Thank you for posting this. My DaVinci is turning 9 in January and was diagnosed with LP as a puppy and two vets recommended not to do surgery unless he showed signs of pain or discomfort. We do not encourage jumping on or off beds, we have stairs for him, he jumps on and off the couch and chairs without any difficulty or pain. So far it hasn't caused him and pain, he's pretty active for his age. I am going to look into this. He knows his limitations and we've always been very careful with his legs but I can tell he's always been mindful of his legs. His legs never lock up on him but I have always noticed a little skip when he runs but it has never slowed him down and he has never limped or shown any sign of pain.
